When is the next Richard Osman book coming out?

From reading out the answers on Pointless to becoming one of Britain’s bestselling authors, Richard Osman has made quite a splash in the literary world with his Thursday Murder Club Series.

The series has been so impressive, in fact, that Steven Spielberg has acquired the rights, ready for a movie!

The plot revolves around a group of four retirees living in a retirement village called Coopers Chase in the English countryside. These retirees, Elizabeth, Joyce, Ibrahim, and Ron, form the Thursday Murder Club, where they meet weekly to discuss unsolved crimes.

So far, Osman has treated us to four installments of this gripping mystery series. In addition to The Thursday Murder Club, we’ve had The Man Who Died Twice, The Bullet That Missed, and The Last Devil to Die.

The first installment hit book shops in September 2020, and the three following releases came each September thereafter, with The Last Devil To Die arriving in 2023.

You might, therefore, assume that The Thursday Murder Club Book 5 will be arriving in September 2024. However, that’s not the case.

On his podcast, The Rest is Entertainment, Osman announced that The Thursday Murder Club won’t be returning until 2025.

However, the news isn’t all bad! The presenter-stroke-author also announced that the first book in a brand new murder mystery series will be dropping this September, in its place…
